GENTEXT/REMARKS/1.  THE FLEET RESERVE ASSOCIATION (FRA) 79TH NATIONAL
CONVENTION IS SCHEDULED AT THE OLYMPIA RESORT AND CONFERENCE CENTER
IN OCONOMOWOC, WI, FROM 19 SEPTEMBER 2006 THROUGH 23 SEPTEMBER 2006.
2.  THE CONVENTION AGENDA INCLUDES SEVERAL BUSINESS MEETINGS AND
WORKSHOPS.  THERE IS A SENIOR ENLISTED LEADER PANEL PRESENTATION AND
DISCUSSION ON FRIDAY, 22 SEPTEMBER.
3.  ALL ACTIVE DUTY NAVY AND NAVY RESERVE, MARINE CORPS, AND COAST
GUARD PERSONNEL ARE INVITED TO ATTEND THESE EVENTS.  SPECIAL
SESSIONS AND PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT WORKSHOPS INCLUDE:  NAVY
RECRUITING UPDATE, SEA SERVICES PANEL FEATURING MASTER CHIEF PETTY
OFFICER OF THE NAVY JOE CAMPA, SERGEANT MAJOR OF THE MARINE CORPS
JOHN ESTRADA, MASTER CHIEF PETTY OFFICER OF THE COAST GUARD SKIP
BOWEN, AND WORKSHOPS ON KEY ACTIVE, RESERVE, RETIREE ISSUES, DOD
HEALTH CARE BENEFITS UPDATE, FINANCIAL AWARENESS FOR THE RETIRED
MILITARY, MEMBERSHIP MATTERS WORKSHOPS, SURVIVOR BENEFIT PLAN
REFORM, AND OTHER LEGISTATIVE ISSUES.
