BY TWO YEARS OF GRADUATE STUDY USING A FOREIGN LANGUAGE AND          
EXPERIENCING OVERSEAS CULTURAL AND TRAVEL OPPORTUNITIES.  THIS       
UNIQUE SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITY SUPPORTS THE SECRETARY OF DEFENSE'S   
EMPHASIS ON DEVELOPING LANGUAGE SKILLS AND REGIONAL AND CULTURAL     
KNOWLEDGE ACROSS THE FORCE.                                          

3.  PER REF A, FY-13 OLMSTED SCHOLAR PROGRAM SELECTEES SHOULD BE     
AVAILABLE TO COMMENCE LANGUAGE TRAINING IN THE SUMMER/FALL OF 2012,  
BEGIN STUDY AT A FOREIGN UNIVERSITY IN 2013, AND COMPLETE THEIR      
STUDY IN 2015.
